The 2025 Virginia gubernatorial election shall be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, to elect the following governor of Virginia. The Democratic main shall be held on June 10, 2025, and the Republican main shall be held on June 17, 2025. The final election shall be held on November 4, 2025.
The governor of Virginia is elected to a four-year time period and may serve a most of two phrases. The present governor is Glenn Youngkin, a Republican who was elected in 2021. Youngkin is eligible to run for re-election in 2025.
